Starting wage is $23/hour during the ride-along period. Once you have completed that period your hourly wage will be increased to $25/hour, with opportunities for increases. We also offer 'Premium Assignments' on an as-needed basis for $26-$30/hour.  We also offer 5-star Google review bonuses; $20 for every client review accumulated.

Submit weekly invoices via the DRC App based on working hours accumulated. Pay is biweekly via direct deposit.

Yes, you will submit your weekly availability through the DRC App. This availability may be changed at any point, but we ask for as much notice as possible for operational reasons. Jobs will be scheduled based on the availability you submit, so the sooner we have your availability, the easier it is for us to fill it up.  You do not need to provide full time hours or the same availability consistently. 

No, there will be a mix of independent work and teamwork based on specific job demands. We never want a contractor struggling to complete a big job alone. 

No, this is a contractor position. You are responsible for your own tax deductions, insurance, products, and schedule management. 

DRC's admin team will handle most client communications, like quoting, setting up visits, and service expectations. It is up to you to let a client know if you are going to arrive late to their visit.

The ride-along is a one-week period where you will work alongside some of our Team Leads to familiarize yourself with DRC-specific standards, systems, client expectations, and procedures. This period is paid at $23/hour. 

Yes, you are required to obtain Commercial General Liability (CGL) insurance before accepting any assignments. We have partnered with The Commonwell Mutual Insurance Group to offer DRC contractors a discounted rate. However, you are welcome to obtain your insurance through any provider of your choice, provided your policy meets the requirements outlined in your contractor agreement. 

Required supplies include:

  • Vacuum

  • Mop system

  • Carrying caddy or tote

  • Microfibre cloths

  • All-purpose cleaner

  • Glass/window cleaner

  • Toilet bowl cleaner

  • Floor cleaner

  • Stainless steel cleaner

  • Cream cleaner (such as Bar Keepers Friend or Vim)

  • Oven cleaner

  • Sponges, scrub brushes, and scrappers

  • Gloves

You will need to download the DRC Hub and Jobber app. Invitations to join will be sent out after the onboarding process has been completed.

DRC offers:

  • Regular one-time or recurring cleanings (weekly, biweekly, monthly)

  • Deep cleanings

  • Move In/Out Cleanings

  • Carpet Shampooing

  • Inside fridge cleaning

  • Inside oven cleaning

  • Inside cabinet cleaning

  • Behind appliance cleaning 

  • Spot cleaning of walls

  • Inside window cleaning

The areas you would like to service are entirely up to you. You can select your serviceable areas on the DRC app when submitting your availability. You will never be scheduled outside of your service zone unless it is a Premium Assignment that you have explicitly approved ahead of time. The more areas you are willing to service, the more opportunities for assignments we will be able to offer you. DRC will accept service throughout all of Ottawa and certain surrounding areas. 

After you apply, you can expect your resume to be reviewed within 1 business day. Candidates that are approved will be contacted via SMS or email with our pre-screening form. Once that form has been completed, your application will either be approved for an interview or denied at this time. The interview is the final part of the recruiting process, and we can generally get you set up to begin within a couple of days. 

This will vary based on submitted availability, serviced zones, and client demand. We are open from 9:00 am - 6:00 pm every day of the week, and can fit up to 3 assignments per day in your schedule. DRC does not make any guaranteed for hours.  

Yes, you are required to have your own reliable vehicle, drivers license,  and auto insurance in order to be eligible for the DRC contractor network. You will be required to use your personal vehicle for transportation to and from assignments, and are responsible for its gas and maintenance. You will never be required to carpool another DRC contractor.
